Mindfulness With RAW
Mindfulness is a well-researched approach to supporting wellbeing and mental health. It has gained an increasing presence in the news and other media in recent years as the need to create space for ourselves has increased.
By connecting with the present moment through a range of mindfulness-based activities it is possible to rediscover a sense of peace and quieten the “noise” of daily living. That noise includes everything that is clamouring for our attention – including work, home, social media, mobile telephones and the many ways we can be contacted on them, to name but a few!
Mindfulness is about being aware of or deliberately bringing attention to the present moment, without judging it in any way. Simply noticing. Whenever you go on a mindful walk and notice every small detail or bring your attention to your breathing or the sensations in a particular part of your body, you are participating in a moment of peace. These moments of mindfulness take you away from to do lists or ruminating on how to handle an upcoming situation, or one that has already happened.
We have created a flexible mindfulness programme for you to use and share with colleagues and employees. It includes a variety of mindfulness-based activities of varying lengths, from 2 minutes to 10 minutes duration. We hope you find them useful in creating some inner space and peace to help you create wellbeing and create resilience in the workplace.
